55 PMA Long Course has come a long way since we all joined the Pakistan Military Academy in May 1975. The pyramid that we constituted continued to its conical upward journey and is now in its culmination stage. While two of our two stars have already bid farewell to arms, of the four lucky four stars, Agha Umer Farooq is the first three star who bids farewell to arms today, 20th July 2012.
Agha Umer Farooq, who was BSM in the Academy and won the Tactics Plaque, was commissioned in the Baloch Regiment, had been the Commandant School of Infantry and Tactics as two stars and the President NDU at the time of hanging his uniform as three stars. We wish him and his family the very best of luck in their lives in civvies.

Agha Muhammad Umer Farooq my platoon mate and a great friend had always been outstanding through out his Military career, as Ambassodar, member certain National committees and above all as a wonderful, kind hearted n great friend n course mate.
