Annual Get Together 2019 - Sargodha

The 2019 annual get together was a unique occasion for it was a pure personal initiative of Hafiz Muhammad Kalyar and his lady wife to host the get together on their farm house in Sargodha. Course secretary Asif was in full support to workout details and fiances. The dates chosen, i,e. 23-24 February, were just the ideal dates as summer sets in early in Sargodha.
The logistics were very meticulously worked out by Asif and for this purpose a special WhatsApp group was created to assist all those desirous of attending the get together. Guide maps with pin location of both evening and day functions were given for easy location of the venues. Even routes from Rawalpindi and Lahore to Sargodha and to the various messes were also indicated for ease of those coming to Sargodha for the first time. The booking of all available guest rooms at Sargodha, though an uphill task, was comprehensively coordinated with local army and air force set ups by Asif and none of the members faced any difficulty as far boarding and lodging was concerned. Even the local formations went a step ahead by placing welcome signs and illuminations.
The venue for the dinner and musical evening was at Charminar Event Complex, located on Lahore-Sargodha Road. I got a bit late and when I reached the venue, everyone was already there and the hall was reverberating with gossips and laughter. Herein under are some of the photos that I had access to:

The music went on for quite late in night until it was time to retire to messes for next day was to dawn with yet another elaborate and warm display of hospitality by Kalyars.

Although 24th February was a bright sunny day and the venue, the New City Farm Houses, was in the open, but the shades provided protection against the rather hot sun. By just before noon, almost every one had gathered at the venue and were already busy in the usual gupshup.
The gossips were interrupted by Kalyar who asked all of us to move to his farm house, hardly at walking distance adjacent to the venue. Once assembled, he asked all of us to join him and his family in the formal inauguration of his farm house.
A N Janjua offered dua on the opening ceremony of the Kalyar farm House
Thereafter, the brunch was served amid beautiful tunes played in the background by the police band.

The Ladies

The memorable Sargodha get together shall always be remembered for it displayed immense personal hospitality of Kalyar and Bhabi Sahiba and matchless contribution and administrative skills of Asif.

Tariq Fazal sums up the Sargodha get together in very befitting tribute to Kalyars and Asif:
The magnitude of logistics involved in a function involving overnight stay is a daunting undertaking. That Kalyars dared  volunteering for the challenging venture, speaks volumes of their passion and esprit de corps. Our generous hosts put their heart and soul making it one of the most remarkable GTGs ever. The unique aura of their sprawling estate with beautiful landscaping provided perfect setting for revisiting our golden days. Asif with his cool headed attention for detail did the necessary fine tuning, turning out a flawless show enriching our memories. We owe it to Kalyars, Asif and all guests whose presence created the fabulous fun.
There was immense flow of sentiments and gratitude for Kalyars and Asif. Kalyar responds:
I have received appreciations and admires about arranging the course GTG Sargodha .this is very encouraging but the fact remains that this GTG of my brothers and sisters at my place was a great honour for which my wife and myself will remain thank full. Thank you all for coming here and ensure you my cooperation for all times.
We look forward to 2020 for yet another memorable gathering, In Sha Allah.

Thanks Jalal for fantastic coverage of the event. The coverage is as good as was the event itself.
Kalyar deserves full marks for his exceptional managerial abilities. And he achieved such a high standard almost single handedly.
It looks as we will have to live without a get together for the current year due to the ongoing Pandemic.

Thank you Zahir Khan. Yes indeed it was one of the best organized get together and all credit goes to Kalyar for taking the initiative and getting through it with his head high.
