September 14 (2011) reminds us of Syed Sibtain Raza, a friend of friends and ever smiling course mate who left this world much to early. Whatever little I member of Sibtain is a face full of broad smile and of a man with a very dynamic, vigorous, vibrating portrait, always displaying a lively demeanour. His sincerity was unmatched and was a source of motivation for others when darker clouds loomed overhead.

He joined us from 54 PMA Long Course but very soon befriended with most of us and was always a friend, a cooperating hand and spreading smiles whenever around.

In the last days of his life, he was suffering was heart disease and went through open heart surgery and was on ventilator for almost eight hours. Sibtain later expired late at night - 14 September 2011.
Nauman Siddiqui remembered Sibtain, "Sibtain had a loving nature and always tried to smile even in adversity, witty and a good friend. May ALLAH grant him peace and succor to his family."
Tariq Fazal writes, "Sibtain will be remembered among other things for his extraordinary courage to be able to smile in the face of most trying of circumstances and thus often infuse courage and confidence among his comrades as well. God may grant his family the courage to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude and rest his noble soul in eternal peace. Ameen."
Baqar Ali Zaidi in his e-mail to me remembered Sibtain, saying: "Sibtain was a person with very pleasant disposition. He was always the centre of attraction in any gathering that he attended. It is indeed a great loss, not only for his family, but also for the entire PACHWENJA community."
Sibtain shall always be missed. May Allah bless him, and all other brothers who are no more, a very special place in Jannah tul Firdous. Ameen

Sibtain Raza was an excellent platoon mate. A great friend with so easy to go attitude. Never saw a gloomy Face under any stress or strain. Smiling forever. Always enjoyed his Company and jokes.
Last time i met him in Saeed Akram's Security Company Office at Gulberg Lahore over a cup of tea. He was witty n smiling as usual.
May Almighty Allah rest his soul in peace and grant the best place in Jannah tul Firdous, Aameen!
Sibtain Raza had been an energetic and lively member of Lahore Chapter. Ever smiling and at center stage of the social gatherings, he would always be throwing laughters around. Although he was living with the heart ailment, his departure was so sudden and heart wrenching. May his soul be blessed in heavens.
Sir saptaian was very good and always found him with smile on his face.He has very close relationship with corps of sigs.May ALLAH bless his soul rest in peace AAMEEN

Ah! It is hard to reconcile with the fact that 9 long years have elapsed since Sibtain departed for his eternal abode. His presence used to be so full of life and vigor that it feels as if he was around even yesterday.
May his sweet soul rests in the choicest corner of Jannah. Aameen Sum Aameen 🙏
Sibtain was a friend at heart n soul. It was always a joyful feeling to interact and converse with him. Seldom are such friendly souls found to be lived with. Pray your soul remains blessed with eternal peace. Ameen.

A handsome man with a beautiful smile, Syed Sibtain Raza was always Happy n in good mood.
He was my Platoon mate, always willing to help n be there for friends.
i met him at Saeed Akrams office in Gulberg n had shared our memories of Good old days, never knew it was the last meeting.
