In Memory of Syed Khalid Mahmood

Yesterday, 6th May 2021, I was in the middle of writing a post in memory of Muhammad Abdul Qadir Khan Shahid, who passed away early this year on 29th January, when I noticed a message about demise of Syed Khalid Mahmood on my phone shared by Muhammad Asif. It came as a big shock to me. Although he was battling with Covid-19 and complications even after recovering, we all were hopeful of his recovery and nearly everyday on every course forum most of us prayed for his recovery and longevity. But no one can fight the Nature. What is Divine and written down, not a single second can be added or subtracted from the appointed time.

I did not have a very close intimation with Khalid but whenever we met on get togethers, he would meet with his typical smile that he always wore on his face and warmth of brotherhood.

Going by his Facebook page, one can see Khalid being a very caring and loving husband and father. He often shared photos of his family showing this very attribute of him.

Khalid takes his last earthly drive to his final abode (Shared by Muazzam on a course forum)
Muazzam and Jamshed made it to his funeral held at Peshawar. Thereafter his body was taken to his ancestral village for burial.

While people have been avoiding Covid-19 hit patients, it is heartening to know that Shahid Noor was there by his side in CMH Rawalpindi during his last days and extended his moral support yo Khalid to fight on. We all thank Shahid Noor for this noble gesture.

Commending Shahid Noor's noble gesture, Asif writes;
I take this opportunity to thank Maj Shahid Noor on behalf of 55th PMA who remained with Late Col Khalid and his family at CMH Rawalpindi, Shahid we are proud of you. Shahid remained in touch with me, I could not visit CMH as I was out of Station for two days. Entire course mates responded well and immediately and this is very encouraging. Allah bless you and your families.
May Allah bless Syed Khalid Mehmood and all our course mates who have left us earlier than us and rest their souls in peace up in the heavens. Ameen.

Please refer to our Reference Page to read about all those of us who have left us midway for their Heavenly abode.
