Signals Mess Rawalpindi was the venue of late Javed Sultan's chehlum on 24 March 08. The time given was 1630 hours and a handsome gathering attended the compassion including a number of course mates, other officers. After the Quran khawani, the Dua was also attended by the COAS beside other senior officers. Javed's father was also present.
Two group photos were taken to preserve the moment - prominent among the course mates were Zaheer, Sulehria, Farooq, Bajwa, Raja, Asif, AD, Munir, Shahid, Tariq Sher, Noor, Mehdi, Naeem, Iqbal Badar, Farooq Ahmed, Ikram, Shahid Ashraf, Jahangir, Farooq, Janjua and Naseer. I am sorry if I missed someone.

Javed Sultan will be missed by all. We had so much going here it appears that part of the world has been shut out and one has no access to it anymore.
My association with Javed Sultan strengthen as 2nd Lt at Dir. We went together on ops recce to Afghan border in Bajur. Second time we met each other was in Chaman, I stayed there with him & enjoyed his hospitality for about one week. There after we got together in PMA for about two years.Here I explored many facets of his personality. He was a fantastic person, full of joy & life. A dedicated course mate, who will be remembered for very long time. May Allah SWT GRANT HIM JANTUL FIRDOUS. Aameen
